چکیده

In this study, two fungal strains (HC-Z1 and HC-Z2) from Hyphantria cunea (fall webworm) larvae were evaluated for their potential as biocontrol agents against the H. larvae. Based on morphological molecular (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region) characterization, identified Beauveria bassiana (HC-Z1: OP415530 HC-Z2: OP415531). To determine biological activities of strains, a concentration-response assay (1 × 104-8 conidia/ml) was performed third stage addition, B. tested five (1-5) larval stages at 1 107 conidia/ml concentration. Both isolates produced mortalities over 96% within 7 days first cunea. The LC50 LT50 HC-Z1 HC-Z2 instar calculated 0.6 104 1.2 conidia/ml, respectively. values obtained in 2.82 3.44 isolates, As result, it can be concluded that potentially used control

Allergens of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana

BACKGROUND: Beauveria bassiana is an important entomopathogenic fungus currently under development as a bio-control agent for a variety of insect pests. Although reported to be non-toxic to vertebrates, the potential allergenicity of Beauveria species has not been widely studied. METHODS: IgE-reactivity studies were performed using sera from patients displaying mould hypersensitivity by immunob...

Pyridovericin and pyridomacrolidin: novel metabolites from entomopathogenic fungi, Beauveria bassiana.

program, we systematically investigated the diversity of metabolites in Deuteromycota, Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Nomuraea rileyi, Paecilomyces fumosoroseus and Verticillium lecanii, which have been isolated from the corpses of insects. Comparative study of the HPLC elution pattern among fungal metabolites found that a strain, Beauveria bassiana EPF-5, produced two novel metabo...

Molecular and immunological characterization of allergens from the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana

BACKGROUND Entomopathogenic fungi such as Beauveria bassiana are considered promising biological control agents for a variety of arthropod pests. Beauveria species, however, have the potential to elicit allergenic reactions in humans, although no specific allergens have been characterized to date. METHODS Four putative allergens were identified within B. bassiana expressed sequence tag (EST) ...

Antifeedant Activity of Ginkgo biloba Secondary Metabolites against Hyphantria cunea Larvae: Mechanisms and Applications

Ginkgo biloba is a typical relic plant that rarely suffers from pest hazards. This study analyzed the pattern of G. biloba pest hazards in Beijing; tested the antifeedant activity of G. biloba extracts, including ginkgo flavonoids, ginkgolide, and bilobalide, against Hyphantria cunea larvae; determined the activities of glutathione transferase (GSTs), acetylcholinesterase (AChE), carboxylestera...
